The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has established a new initiative to promote work-life balance and stress management for Chartered Accountants ( CA ), addressing the growing concern about the physical and mental well-being of professionals in the industry.
This step comes in response to the rising pressures faced by professionals due to increasing workloads and demanding schedules, which have led to concerning consequences for personal health and job performance.
The ICAI’s newly formed group, led by Mrs. Seema Gerotra, Additional Director on Work-Life Balance & Stress Management, will focus on developing measures that promote a healthier balance between personal and professional commitments. This initiative is aimed at enhancing both the mental and physical well-being of ICAI members.
Speaking on the importance of employee welfare, CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, President of ICAI, said, “Employees are the backbone of any organisation, and their well-being is essential to its long-term success. We urge organisations to implement balanced work policies that promote employee health and reduce stress. By prioritising mental and physical well-being, organisations can foster a productive and resilient workforce.”
