STANDARDS OF AUDITING

The Standards of Auditing (SAs) established by the ICAI serve as the guiding principles for conducting audits in India. These standards ensure consistency, reliability, and quality in the auditing process, ultimately enhancing the credibility of financial statements.

The SAs encompass a comprehensive framework that auditors must adhere to while planning, executing, and reporting on audit engagements. They provide detailed guidelines on various aspects of auditing, including audit planning, risk assessment, evidence gathering, and reporting.
