The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has launched AI-powered ICAI CA GPT modules. These tools are designed to change how Chartered Accountants and students learn, manage compliance, and carry out professional analysis.

According to the December Journal of ICAI, on July 1, 2024, ICAI launched 18 specialized CA GPT modules, designed as AI assistants for various areas of professional practice. These modules provide real-time help, making complex queries easier to manage and offering strong support to professionals.

Key highlights include:

Accounting Standards Board GPT: Instant access to official ICAI accounting standards.

GST & Indirect Taxes GPT: Offers comprehensive guidance on GST and other indirect taxes.

Auditing & Assurance Standards Board GPT: Ensures accurate interpretation of auditing and assurance standards.

These modules cover a wide range of areas, including corporate laws, sustainability reporting, and ethical standards, providing seamless support for compliance and advisory roles. Currently, over 70,000 members are actively using CA GPT, generating more than 2.5 lakh prompts.

The CA Student GPT offers a unique, tailored learning experience with customized modules designed for each course level—Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. By integrating data from over 5,000 annual reports, these tools enable in-depth financial analysis, allowing members to derive actionable insights that inform their decision-making.

For example, the Automobile Industry GPT helps with market trend analysis and compliance checks for industry-specific regulations, while the Healthcare Industry GPT assists in evaluating sector performance and understanding regulatory frameworks.
