The Examination Department of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an important announcement regarding the impending release of results for the Information Systems Audit (ISA) Assessment Test.

The results are scheduled to be declared by ICAI on Wednesday, the 7th of February 2024.

Candidates awaiting their results can access them on the Institute’s official website, www.icai.org. The Institute encourages candidates to check the website for updates and detailed instructions regarding the result declaration.

Technology plays a major role in facilitating all functions of business in this era, not just in transaction capturing and processing but even in lesser known areas like Corporate Governance and Risk Management. There is no doubt that Chartered Accountants with ISA qualification will play a major role in Information Systems Audit (ISA) in the coming years. The technology revolution in the 20th century, particularly the last 10 years, is a re-enactment of the Industrial Revolution that happened 150 years ago-with lessons that are valid even today.

The Industrial Revolution was propelled by innovations but now the rules are being rewritten, powered by silicon chips and Internet bandwidth. With changing paradigms, knowledge and experience in technology are not merely desirable, but basic requirements for growth and even survival in the evolving global village.

With the new challenges threatening the traditional domain, the council of the Institute – by commissioning ISA course – is not just coping with the demands of IT dynamics. It also seeks to leverage technology to enhance the professional skills of its members. This course prepares members to offer value added services of Information Systems Audit, which are in increasing demand.

The following modules are contained in the course: —

1 – Primer on Information Technology IS Infrastructure & Emerging Technologies

2 – Information Systems Assurance Services

3 – Governance & Management of Enterprise Information Technology, Risk Management

4 – Protection of Information Systems Infrastructure and Information Assets

5 – Systems Development: Acquisition, Maintenance and Implementation

6 – Business Applications Software Audit

7 – Business Continuity Management

8 – Information Systems Audit Process

9 – Governance and Management of Enterprise Information Technology, Risk Management

10 – System Development,Acquisition,implementation and Maintenance Application Systems.

11 – Information Systems Operations and Management

12 – Protection of Information Assets

13 – Emerging Technologies

CPE Hours: After the successful completion of the ISA Professional Training with 90% percent attendance the members are awarded with 25 CPE hours. The remaining 5 CPE hours

are awarded after the successful clearance of ISA AT Exam.

ISA Assessment Test (AT): After completing ISA ET with minimum marks, you have to register online for the ISA Assessment that is conducted by the Examination Department of the Institute. It is important to note that members have to fill the ISA AT Form issued/hosted on www.icai.org, by the Examination Department.

Total Marks: 200, passing criteria is 60% marks flat.
