The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), vide Notification No. I-CA (7)/218/2024 dated 28th March 2024 has notified that the town of Barnagar in Madhya Pradesh will be included in the jurisdiction of the Ujjain Branch of CIRC of ICAI with effect from 7th February 2024.
The institute established a Branch of Central India Regional Council at Ujjain under Regulation 159(1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, through notification no. I-CA (7)/78/2004 dated October 1st, 2004, effective from July 23rd, 2004. And the same has included the town of Barnagar.
The notification states as follows:
“Whereas the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India vide notification no. I- CA (7)/78/2004 dated 01st October 2004 w.e.f 23rd July 2004 had set up a Branch of Central India Regional Council at Ujjain under Regulation 159(1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.
Now in partial modification of the aforesaid notification, the Council of the Institute hereby
notify’ to include Bamagar in the Jurisdiction of Ujjain Branch of CIRC of ICAI under Regulation 159(1) of the Chartered Accountants Regulation, 1988.
The effective date to include Barnagar (Madhya Pradesh) in the Jurisdiction of Ujjain Branch of CIRC of ICAI shall be February 7th, 2024.”
