ICAI Offices to Remain Closed on April 14, 2025 for Ambedkar Jayanti
ICAI has declared April 14, 2025, a holiday for all its offices in observance of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has announced that all its offices will remain closed on April 14, 2025 (Monday) to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The decision follows the Central Government's directive to observe April 14 as a closed holiday across the country in honour of Dr. Ambedkar, a key architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice.

In a circular issued by the HR Department of ICAI, it was confirmed that the holiday will apply to all ICAI offices, including its headquarters, regional offices, and branches. The notification, signed by Harvinder Singh, Director HR, was released on April 8 and will be applicable to all ICAI employees and members visiting the institute on that day.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s birthday is celebrated every year as a tribute to his contributions to Indian society, law, and governance. Many government and educational institutions observe this day as a public holiday.
With all ICAI offices closed on April 14, members and students are advised to plan their visits or submissions accordingly. No administrative or examination-related services will be available at the ICAI offices on the holiday.
