The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a revised examination timetable for the upcoming Chartered Accountant (CA) Exams today (19-03-2024) in light of the Lok Sabha election. This is a much awaited moment for the CA students.
In the official announcement, the CA Final - Group 1 has been scheduled from 2nd May 2024 and Group 2 from 10th May 2024. With regards to, CA intermediate - Group 1 has been scheduled 3rd May 2024 and Group 2 from 11th May 2024.
On 16th March, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar revealed the schedule for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. These elections will be conducted over seven phases, commencing from April 19 and concluding on June 1. Due to the election, the ICAI revised the dates.
Meanwhile, many fake dates were published which is a serious issue to be addressed by concerned authorities.
Earlier, the ICAI Council’s Director ( Examinations ) S. K. Garg emphasized the institute’s efforts to minimize disruptions for students and ensure a conducive exam environment during this period. Students were urged to bear with ICAI as they finalize the revised exam schedule to accommodate the Lok Sabha Election dates.
