The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has released crucial information for candidates planning to appear in the May/June 2024 CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final examinations.

To ensure a smooth exam form submission process, candidates are urged to verify their eligibility status on the Self Service Portal (SSP).

Before proceeding with exam form filling, candidates should:

1. Validate SSP Login Credentials:

   – Ensure valid login credentials on SSP. If not available, create them at ICAI eServices.

2. Check Course Registration:

   – Confirm valid course registration. In case of lapsed registration, convert on SSP using the codes:

      – Final: NEWFIN23 or CONFIN23

      – Intermediate: NEWINT23 or CONINT23

      – Foundation: NEWFND23 or CONFND23

3. Update Photograph and Signature:

   – Ensure the latest photograph and signature meet specifications on SSP before filling the exam form. Guidelines for photo and signature requirements are detailed in the announcement.

Photo Requirements

The requirements of the photograph are:

• The photo should be coloured or black/white with 80% face (without face mask) visible including ears against a white background.

• Must have a clear contrast of the image.

• Do not wear goggles and caps while having the photo. However, they can wear spectacles.

• The background of the photograph must be in white and must be clearly visible.

• A straight-looking relaxed face should be there.

• If flash is used while taking the picture then make sure that there is no “red-eye”.

• No caps, goggles are allowed, however, religious headwear is allowed but it should not cover the face.

• No selfies are allowed

• The photograph be scanned as jpg/jpeg having size 20-50 KB

• The scanned Photo should be well cropped so that there are no extra/white spaces and the image is stored as jpg/jpeg

• Take care that the photo as described above fits in the size 4.5 cm by 3.5cm

Signature Requirements

The requirement of the scanned signature are:

• Signature should be done on a white sheet with a black pen.

• The file size of the image must be between 10-20 KB (clearly visible)

• The scanned signature should be well cropped so that there are no extra/white spaces and the image

is stored as jpg/jpeg

• Take care that the signature as described above fits in the size 6 cm by 2cm

4. Articleship Status Confirmation:

   – Verify and update articleship status on SSP for final candidates with pending statuses. Follow the provided link for detailed information.

5. Group-wise Registration Check (Intermediate Candidates):

   – Intermediate candidates must confirm their registration for the intended group(s) through SSP login.

Detailed Eligibility Conditions:

Foundation Course (May/June 2024):

– Registered on or before February 1, 2024.

– Converted from CPT to Foundation during form filling.

– Passed 12th standard or appeared in the 12th board exam. Required documents must be uploaded on SSP.

Intermediate Course (May 2024):

– 8 months study course eligibility, registered on or before September 1, 2023.

Final Course (May 2024):

– Registration/Conversion for Final New Course.

– Completion of prescribed articled training period or due to complete by specified dates.

Advanced ICITSS Requirement:

– Completion by April 10, 2024, for Final (New) Course candidates appearing in May 2024 exams.
