ICMAI and IGNOU signs MOU for Jointly developing ODL (Programme) titles “Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management"

The Institute of Cost Management Accountants of India (ICMAI) and Indira Gandhi National Open University are to set up a new course open and distance learning together on “Diploma in Agricultural Cost Management”. Farmers, rural youth, agricultural professionals, and those working in agriculture and allied professions will benefit from the course.

It was reported that the both institutes have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for developing an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Programme on 25th April 2023. iT was signed by Dr. Alok Chaube, Registrar (Administration), IGNOU and CMA Vijender Sharma, President, ICMAI.

The ICMAI works towards guaranteeing that its members have the knowledge, abilities, and ethics requisite to provide accurate cost management and decision-making services to businesses and organisations.

IGNOU provides courses via open and distance learning (ODL), which enables pupils to study at their own speed and from any location as long as they're equipped with the necessary instructional resources and the internet. Students can learn and prepare for examinations via study materials, online lectures, and counselling sessions provided by the institution.

According to reports, the MoU aimed at building perception and skilled labour in the domain of agricultural cost management by shedding the expertise, abilities, and entrepreneurial abilities of rural populations or farmers for productive farm cost management.

The occasion was attended by dignitaries such as Prof. Sumitra Kukreti, Pro Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Faculty, School of Agriculture from IGNOU, CMA Vijender Sharma, President, CMA Kaushik Banerjee, Secretary, and others.
