ICMAI Issues Campus Placement Brochure for December 2024 Term: Dates, Venues and Details for Corporates and Qualified CMAs

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has officially released the Campus Placement Brochure to be undertaken during April-May 2025, targeting freshly qualified Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) from the December 2024 Term. The brochure gives extensive details about the campus placement schedule, corporate participation guidelines, and job opportunities for qualified CMAs.

The ICMAI Placement Committee, led by CMA Vinayranjan P (Chairman, Career Counselling & Placement Committee), CMA Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak (President, ICMAI), and CMA TCA Srinivasa Prasad (Vice President, ICMAI) has emphasized the importance of connecting CMA professionals with leading employers. The committee has encouraged corporate participation, while ensuring that the placement process remains structured, transparent, and beneficial for both employers and job seekers alike.

The placement drive will take place in April and May 2025 across major cities in India, providing a platform for CMAs to secure positions in prestigious organizations. The official schedule for the placement program is as follows:

Alongside the placement drive, a Pre-Placement Orientation Programme will be conducted in March 2025 at multiple locations, including Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and other key centers. This program is designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and insights to prepare for the recruitment process.

Some of the key recruiters from past years include Accenture, Bosch, Ford, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Jio, ITC, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Vedanta, Deloitte, and Tata Power. Over the period from 2017 to 2024, the placement drive has offered highly competitive salary packages, with the highest Cost to Company (CTC) exceeding INR 20 lakh per annum, while the average CTC has ranged between INR 10-12 lakh per annum.

ICMAI has put in place a clear policy to be followed by corporates seeking to participate in the placement process. The placement process follows a slot-based recruitment system, where companies are required to announce offers only during their allotted time slots.

Participating organizations must disclose essential job details such as role, location, and salary (CTC) prior to their campus visit. Additionally, they are required to submit the final selection list of recruited candidates on the same day as their interview rounds. Any company wishing to conduct additional interview rounds must do so within a week and declare the final results promptly.

The corporate participation fee for the placement drive varies depending on the day of recruitment. The charges are ₹40,000 (+18% GST) for Day 1 and ₹25,000 (+18% GST) for Days 2 and 3, payable through Demand Draft or Electronic Clearing System (ECS).
