The Income Tax Department has reminded that the Due Date for furnishing Income Tax Return for Assessment Year 2020-21 for taxpayers whose accounts require to be audited, is 15th February 2021.
It is noteworthy that ITR is filed now on the official website of Income tax department i.e. incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
The taxpayers filing their return beyond such due date will have to pay interest under 234A and penalty under section 234F. It is important for all taxpayers to remember the due date of filing income tax returns.
