Job Responsibilities

  • Functionally Adept in understanding Fee changes, rate changes – experience in deposit businesses in a banking environment a strong plus.
  • Managing annual/continual financial planning activities for product areas, providing business rational and decisions for all month-end financial performance and forecasting, conducting reviews and analysis on product financial performance, consumption/demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports
  • Develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems.
  • Efficiency reporting, analytics, and strategy - including, but not limited to - location strategy, span of control, reporting and analytics
  • Creating financial business cases supporting business initiatives
  • Reporting on and monitoring key metrics, driving data quality initiatives across the product area, and helping define future needs of the product area
  • Developing and tracking performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
  • Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
  • Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
  • Prepare insightful, high quality Senior Management presentations
  • Prepare analytical insights by partner reports
  • Prepare Customer and Account Penetration Metrics including attrition related analysis
  • Lead and collaborate on revenue related regulatory impact analysis and present to CFO
  • Lead Resolution and recovery for Banking and Wealth Management from India and also support on Investor Day related asks
  • Support ad hoc requests from the Business and Senior Management
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reports as required
  • Ensure that reports are insightful and contain commentary on key movements and watch items
  • Support and enable the CFO of Consumer Bank & India Head of Banking and Wealth Management on leadership deliverables.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Chartered Accountant/ CFA/ MBA (Finance) (or similar educational background) with 15+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Background in Data Science a strong plus. Experience in SQL/SAS/Python/Tableau a plus
  • Strong financial analytical skills – Fusion of Finance and Data Capabilities
  • Strong Team Management Skills – With experience in managing VP/Associate level population
  • Experience in banking industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
  • Ability to research issues/problems and provide a 'solution-based' approach
  • Inquisitive, enthusiastic, and diligent, and capable of challenging status quo
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Shift timings: 2.00 pm till 11.00 pm
  • Open to occasional travel, both domestic and foreign
