The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has notified Justice (Retd.) Venugopal to act as a National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) Chairperson until appointment of regular Chairperson.
“Consequent on the completion of the term of office of Justice (Retd.) Shri A.I.S. Cheema, Member (Judicial), NCLAT as officiating Chairperson, NCLAT on 10.09.2021, Justice (Retd.) Shri Venugopal M, Judicial Member, NCLAT, will act as Chairperson, NCLAT for a period of three months with effect from 11.09.2021 or till appointment of regular Chairperson or until further orders, whichever is the earliest,” the notification said.
