The Kerala GST Department has issued Standard Operating Procedure (“SOP”) for filing Kerala Flood Cess Annual Return.
As per the SoP issued last day, Data as per monthly returns filed will get populated in part 1 of annual return. Values as per the books of accounts have to be filled up and balance Cess payable will be shown in the ‘ Balance Kerala Flood Cess Payable’ column ‘K’.
Recently, the Kerala Government has extended the Flood Cess Annual Return till March 15, 2022.
as per a notification issued on February this year, the taxpayers were facing some technical issues as a result whereof, the annual Kerala Flood Cess Return for the period 2019-20 and 2020-21 could not be furnished in time. The electronic system for the filing of Kerala Flood Cess return has now been developed and is made available for the public.
