Kolkata Police Recovers Rs. 8.25 Crore Cash from Chartered Accountant’s Residence, Issues Notice

The Kolkata Police has recovered around Rs 8.15 crore from the residence of a chartered accountant and has issued a lookout notice against the accused.

CA identified as Sailesh Pandey has been accused of being allegedly involved in bank fraud and making big online transactions. On October 15, the Kolkata police’s Anti Bank Fraud division raided Sailesh Pandey’s home in Howrah, Kolkata, reports said.

On October 16, the Kolkata Police conducted a special raid at Sailesh’s other house and recovered Rs 5.95 crore and jewellery. Following the raid, the police seized two laptops and one tablet from the house.

After the Canara Bank lodged a complaint, the raids were carried out. The bank had been keeping an eye on them for a few days and had discovered numerous questionable transactions.

According to a police source, the accused created two Canara Bank accounts in the names of two different businesses and carried out significant online transactions as part of a criminal plot.
