The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) is set to release a Fresh Schedule for the upcoming Chartered Accountant ( CA ) Exams today (19-03-2024).
In the official announcement dated February 14th, ICAI had highlighted the significance of the upcoming General Elections to the 18th Lok Sabha, scheduled for 2024, with the notification awaiting release. The Examination Committee, in response to this electoral event, is contemplating a rescheduling of the May 2024 CA Examination to avoid any clashes with the General Election schedule.
On 16th March, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar revealed the schedule for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. These elections will be conducted over seven phases, commencing from April 19 and concluding on June 1. The announcement regarding the election results is scheduled for June 4.

In line with these developments, ICAI will release the detailed revised schedule of the May 2024 Examinations on 19th March 2024 ( Evening ) on the official website www.icai.org. Students preparing for the Chartered Accountants Examinations in May 2024 are advised to stay updated with the revised schedule and other important announcements on the ICAI website.

ICAI Council’s Director ( Examinations ) S. K. Garg emphasized the institute’s efforts to minimize disruptions for students and ensure a conducive exam environment during this period. Students were urged to bear with ICAI as they finalize the revised exam schedule to accommodate the Lok Sabha Election dates.
Unverified sources hinted that the CA May 24 exams are rescheduled to begin from 7th June 2024. However, students are advised to continue preparations and await the official announcement by the Institute today.
