GSTN invited applications for the post of Vice President – Procurement & Contracts.
Qualification:
- MBA
- Understanding of contractual matters, documentation and legal issues of procurement.
- Knowledge of statutory compliances applicable to procurement function.
- Knowledge of vendor evaluation and selection and vendor database management.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Design and Implementation
- Formulate an overall corporate procurement strategy including, sourcing strategy, vendor selection and pre-qualification methods, limits for lead-times, budgets, vendor management policy, evaluation and payment mechanisms, authority and approval matrix, etc. to ensure continuous supply of services and materials within defined parameters of cost, quality and time to relevant stakeholders.
- Formulate a corporate contracting strategy incorporating essential terms (guidelines/ evaluation parameters, approval matrix, etc.) for different types of contracts.
- Plan the budget for Procurement & Contracts department during the internal budgeting exercise.
- Contract and Vendor Management
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Procurement & Contracts operations based on inputs provided by Department Heads.
- Oversee the development of procurement contracts and coordinate technical validation of the same by the pertinent internal function, legal validation by the legal function and financials by finance function.
- Support in coordinating with Vendors for the pre-qualification and tendering exercises and support negotiations on Cost as well as Terms & Conditions.
- Support in ensuring a continuous supply of services and materials as per the defined parameters for cost, quality and time by the vendors.

- Planning, Provisioning and Monitoring
- Assist in ensuring a continuous supply of Services and Materials to the pertinent Internal Functions within the defined parameters of cost, quality and time.
- Ensure that the queries and complaints of pertinent internal functions related to procurement of materials, services etc. are addressed.
- Ensure necessary documentation for procurement and adhere to governance and control mechanisms.
- People Development
- Take an active role in recruitment of incumbents into own team.
- Conduct formal performance appraisal and provide developmental feedback for own team.
- Identify training needs of subordinates and provide functional training inputs through internal and external sources.
