Responsibilities:

• This Demand & Supply Planning position is responsible for all spare parts forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment planning activities associated with customers and products. The Demand & Supply Planner creates forecast models, establishes inventory policies, and creates replenishment plans for spare parts management across key business sectors and sales channels.
• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Establish inventory targets for demand fulfilment and determine optimal stock levels across central distribution centres and regional warehouses
• Develop inventory control models to allocate and position optimal levels of cycle, safety, and pipeline inventory within the entire distribution network.
• Provide inputs to the Sourcing organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
• Create replenishment plans for timely scheduling of purchase orders on supplier base to continuously improve parts availability for customer service.
• Anticipate demand and supply variations to proactively manage parts availability to prevent stockout and overstock situations
• Maintain demand & supply planning system and software to seamlessly implement day-to-day planning, executing, and monitoring activities.
