Responsibilities:
- Define the technical strategy and roadmap for electric motor and motor controller systems, aligning with company goals for EV performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
- Lead the development of cutting-edge motor technologies, including Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), Induction Motors, and other electric propulsion systems, positioning the company as a leader in EV powertrain technology.
- Oversee the design and optimization of electric motors, focusing on efficiency, torque density, thermal management, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) characteristics.
- Drive innovation in motor topologies and materials to improve power density, energy efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Lead the development and validation of motor control algorithms, including Field-Oriented Control (FOC) etc, ensuring optimal torque delivery, energy efficiency, and dynamic performance.
- Ensure seamless integration of motor and motor controller systems with the overall EV powertrain architecture, including battery systems, transmission, and vehicle dynamics.
