The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) is planning to launch a GST Account Assistant Scheme with a view to enhance the availability of trained manpower in every nook and corner of the country and facilitate compliance with GST Statute to the small and medium enterprises and small and medium practitioners at an affordable cost.
The Ministry, in this regard, has discussed with the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI), ICAI chief CA Naveen N D Gupta said.
“MCA had discussed with Accounting Research Foundation (ARF) of ICAI seeking its support in its initiative to create a cadre of GST Account Assistant at the ground level. ARF of ICAI has submitted the proposal in this regard for consideration of the Ministry,” ICAI President said.
