MCA Notifies Appointment of New Member to CA, CS, CMA Appellate Authority for Professional Misconduct [Read Notification]

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has notified the appointment of ex-civil servant, Mr. Sushil Kumar to the Appellate Authority under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1959 and Company Secretaries Act, 1980.

The notification issued on Tuesday stated that “In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 22A of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949), section 22A of the Cost and Works Accountants Act, 1959 (23 of 1959) and section 22A of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (56 of 1980), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 835(E), dated the 3rd November, 2015, namely: In the said notification, for serial number (3), and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely Shri Sushil Kumar, IAS (Retd.), - Member. Flat No. 55, Hauz Khas Apartments (SFS), (Next to NIFT), Aurobindo Marg, Next Delhi- 110016.”

The notification shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
