The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on Tuesday notified the extension of the relaxation for all the Board meetings to approve its financial statements through Video Conferencing (VC) or Other Audio-Visual Means (OAVM) to be conducted till September 30, 2020.
The central government amended the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014 and the rules came to be known as the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Second Amendment Rules, 2020.
“In the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014, in rule 4 in sub-rule (2), for the figures, letters and word “30th June 2020”, the figures, letters and the word “30th September 2020” shall be substituted,” the notification said.
