MCA notifies New Chairperson and 2 Member in ICAI Quality Review Board [Read Notification]

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has notified a new chairperson and 2 Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Quality Review Board.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28A of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 the Central Government further amended notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 38 (E), dated the 19th January, 2011.

The MCA has appointed Ms. Shefali Shah, Indian Revenue Service (Retired), D-I/33, Rabindra Nagar, New Delhi-110003 as a chairperson of the Quality Review Board. The new members appointed are K. Saravanan, Chief General Manager, Corporation Finance Department, Securities, and Exchange Board of India, and Ms. Ritika Bhatia, Director General (Commercial - II), Office of the Comptroller Auditor General of India.

This notification shall come into force from 30th November, 2021.
