Mr. Pramod Kumar Rai, the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Nestlé India Ltd, has been appointed as a member of the Quality Review Board (QRB) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India ( ICSI ). This appointment was officially notified by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) through notification no. G.S.R. 281(E).

Mr. Rai began his career as a Company Secretary in 1997 at Marvel Vinyls Limited. His career trajectory saw him join Nestlé India Ltd in 2004 as the Head of Corporate Legal, Compliance, and Governance, a role he held until 2022.

In 2018, he took on additional responsibilities as Associate General Counsel (Corporate Legal, Governance & Compliance) at Nestlé. In 2022, he was appointed as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, while continuing his role as Associate General Counsel.

Mr. Rai’s extensive experience and expertise in corporate legal affairs, compliance, and governance make him a valuable addition to the Quality Review Board of ICSI.

Quality Review Board of ICSI

The Quality Review Board (QRB) has been established by the Government of India under the authority granted by Section 29A of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, in conjunction with rules 8, 9, and 10 of the Company Secretaries Procedures of Meetings of Quality Review Board, and Terms and Conditions of Service and Allowances of the Chairperson and Members of the Board Rules, 2006.

The primary objective of the QRB is to assess and improve the quality of services provided by the members of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). The Board is dedicated to standardising the professional practices of Company Secretaries and ensuring the continuous enhancement of service quality among ICSI members.
