ICAI clarified in its official announcement that the examination schedule will remain unchanged even if any scheduled exam date is declared a public or local holiday

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI ) has formally announced that there is no alteration going to be brought in the dates of Chartered Accountants ( CA ) Foundation May 2025 exams.
As there is high tensions between the country and Pakistan, there was some slight opportunity to shift the exam, but it has now been announced that there is no such delay going to be introduced in the foundation exams.
It has been notified by the institute that “Chartered Accountants Foundation May-2025 examination will be held as per the schedule i.e, 15th, 17th, 19th & 21st May 2025.”

However, the Institute has rescheduled the CA Final, Intermediate, and International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT-AT) examinations for May 2025. Originally slated from 9th to 14th May 2025, the exams will now be conducted between 16th and 24th May 2025.

According to the revised schedule, CA Final Group II Paper 5 (Indirect Tax Laws) and INTT-AT Paper 1 (Transfer Pricing) have been postponed from May 10 to May 16. CA Final Group II Paper 6 (Integrated Business Solutions) and INTT-AT Paper 2 (International Tax-Practice) will take place on May 18 instead of May 13.
Likewise, Intermediate Group II examinations- Paper 4 (Cost & Management Accounting), Paper 5 (Auditing & Ethics), and Paper 6 (Financial Management & Strategic Management) previously scheduled to take place on May 9, 11, and 14 will now be held on May 20, 22, and 24 respectively.

The rescheduled Examinations, as aforementioned shall be held at the same examination centres and at the same timings i.e., 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) / *2 PM to 6 PM (IST). It is also informed that the admit Cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled dates.
It was pointed out that there will be no alteration in the examination schedule in case any day of the scheduled examination is announced as Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Holiday, stated the ICAI in its official announcement.
