In a notification issued yesterday, the Ministry of Finance has withdrawn Service Tax Exemption to Education Institutions other than an institution providing services by way of pre-school education and education up to higher secondary school or equivalent.
The Finance Ministry has amended its earlier notification No. 25/2012 , dated 20th June, 2012 by adding an additional clause to withdraw the Service Tax exemption.
The new amendment will be applicable from 1st day of April, 2017.
