No Sitting of Benches of Tribunals including Regional benches: CESTAT

The Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal( CESTAT) has suspended the sitting of all Tribunals including the regional benches due to the worst spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Circular issued by CESTAT said that, In view of the serious situation caused by COVID-19 the Hon’ble President of CESTAT has ordered that there will be no sitting of Benches of the Tribunal including Regional Benches from 15 June 2020 to 30 June 2020.

The last date of pronouncement of order reserved cases and release of detailed orders is extended up to 6 July 2020 and the same may be done after obtaining prior permission from the Hon'ble President.

The office memorandum of preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 will be followed to the attendance of all employees including officers, personal staff of Members, and outsourced staff.
