The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has renamed its official website to http://www.cbic.gov.in .
With the implementation of the Finance Act, 2018, the Central Board of Excise and Customs has been renamed as Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs form 1st April 2018. This inconsequent to the implementation of the new indirect tax law, the Goods and Services Tax laws which brought all the indirect taxes such as excise, service tax, and other local levies into a single platform.
