Justin Bieber, once the epitome of a teenage pop idol, is reportedly facing serious financial pressures. A recent report by Radar Online suggests that the star’s fortunes have taken a hit, stemming from ongoing health struggles, lavish spending habits, and unpaid property taxes.
According to the report, Bieber owes approximately $380,000 in property taxes on his $16 million mansion. Insiders claim that the singer’s freewheeling approach to money—spending heavily without monitoring costs or balances—has accelerated the decline of his finances.

One source quoted by Radar Online remarked, “Justin has always been irresponsible with money and spends without paying attention to the prices or his account balance. No wonder the money is dwindling.”
This downturn in Bieber’s financial stability comes at a time when the 29-year-old artist is also grappling with health concerns. Diagnosed in 2022 with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which partially paralyzed his face, Bieber shared the impact on his career via Instagram.
He explained how the condition forced him to cut short the North American leg of his “Justice Tour,” and although he attempted to continue performing in Europe, the effort took a heavy toll on him. Since then, he has neither released new music nor announced any upcoming concerts—significantly limiting his income streams.
Despite these challenges, Bieber managed to secure a major deal earlier in 2023, selling his music catalog to Hipgnosis Song Management founder cs for $200 million. According to reports in The Wall Street Journal, it was one of the largest deals ever struck for an artist under the age of 70.
This substantial payout ostensibly provides Bieber with the financial cushion to step back from his music career and focus on personal well-being if he chooses.

Speculation about Bieber’s potential retirement is on the rise. A close friend reportedly told Radar Online that the singer has been struggling to connect with the world around him and finds the weight of fame increasingly burdensome. According to this friend, even Bieber’s therapist suggests that if his career makes him unhappy, he should consider stepping away. Another source hinted that Bieber and his wife, Hailey, might “disappear” and live off the proceeds from the catalog sale.
