ICAI Introduces Exam Centre Selection for May 2026 CA Exams
ICAI has introduced a facility for candidates to select their preferred exam centre while filling the application form for the May 2026 CA examinations.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has introduced a new facility for candidates appearing in the Chartered Accountants examinations scheduled for May 2026. The announcement was made by the Examination Department of ICAI on March 2, 2026.
According to the announcement, candidates filling the online examination application form will now be able to select their preferred examination centre directly within their chosen zone or city. Earlier, students could only select a zone or city, and the specific examination centre was allotted later by ICAI.
With this new system, candidates will have the option to choose a particular exam centre while submitting their application form. However, ICAI has clarified that the institute will make the final decision regarding the allotment of examination centres.
The institute also stated that the final exam centre allotted to each candidate will be mentioned in the admit card issued before the examination.
The change is expected to provide more convenience to students by allowing them to select a centre closer to their residence or place of stay.
