The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has informed that over 17.85 lakh Director KYC form has been filed till 27th september 2023 and also urged to file before the deadline i.e, 30th September 2023.
The MCA’s post in ‘X’, formerly known as ‘Twitter’ stated that “Stakeholders are informed that over 17.85 lac Director KYC Forms have been filed till 27th Sept 2023, which is more than the corresponding period of the last year. Stakeholders are requested to complete their filings at the earliest and not wait till 30th September.”
It is a legal mandate for every individual possessing a DIN to complete and submit this form. The DIN functions as a distinctive identification number, and its upkeep and precision are indispensable for the effective operation of corporate entities.
The details included in the DIR -3 KYC form are Name of Director, Father’s Name, PAN Details, Mobile Number and Email ID, Address of Director, Address Proof and Permanent Address Proofs.
However, below the post many have stated the difficulties of filing the form. One person has stated the following issues in filing:
1. OTP not received on mobiles, for Indian as well as Foreign Directors
2. OTP not received on email / or received too late, for Indian as well as Foreign Directors
3. If at all we receive the OTP,there is an error of INVALID OTP.
