The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified the amended rules regarding furnishing of form 60 either in manually or electronically by using e-verification.
As per rule 114B, the tax payers are required to quote PAN in respect of certain transactions for capturing information pertaining to high value transactions and curbing black money circulation. A tax payer, who does not have PAN can submit Form 60 manually as per the Rules.
As per the current Notification, in rule 114B, in the second proviso, after the words, “giving therein the particulars of such transaction” the words “either in paper form or electronically under the E-verification code in accordance with the procedures, data structures, and standards specified by the Principal Director General of Income-tax (Systems) or Director General of Income-tax (Systems)” shall be inserted.
