Quality Review Board of ICAI and ICSI enhanced with New Members: MCA's Notification Out

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), vide notifications no. S.O. 4455(E) and G.S.R. 734(E) issued on 12th October 2023 has notified the amendment in the Quality review Board (QRB) of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Institute of company Secretaries of India (ICSI) respectively. Both notifications came into force on 12th October 2023.

Amendment in QRB of ICAI - Notification No.: S.O. 4455(E)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28A of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, vide number G.S.R. 38(E), dated the 19th January, 2011, namely:-

In the said notification, for serial numbers (2), (4) and (6) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely:-

“(2)	Shri Kesavan Srinivasan, -; 11A Sriram Nagar, West St., Alwarpet, Chennai-600018.	Member

Amendment in QRB of ICAI - Notification No.: G.S.R. 734(E)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29A of the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 (56 of 1980), read with sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Company Secretaries Procedures of Meetings of Quality Review Board, and Terms and Conditions of Service and Allowances of the Chairperson and Members of the Board Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R. 490(E), dated the 13th July, 2007, namely:-

In the said notification, for serial number (4) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-
