The Rajasthan State Government has notified the Electronic Bill under the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
As notified by the Government on Monday, E-way Bill is necessary for transporting goods above the value of Rs. 5,000/- both within the State and outside the State.
As per the E-way Bill provisions, both the inter-State and intra-State movement of goods above Rs 50,000 is required to be pre-registered online. Earlier, when a few days were left for the GST rollout, the Central Government had decided to postpone the implementation of the provision since it was not sure about the technological backbone.
The GST Council in its 24th meeting held on last week has decided to implement the provisions of E-Way Bill from 1st February 2018.
