Senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Rani Singh Nair has taken charge as new chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
Rani Nair, a 1979-batch IRS officer of the income-tax cadre, was working as member (legislation and computerisation) in the CBDT, the policy-making body of the Income Tax department.
