In a major relief to Durr India, the Supreme Court dismissed the special leave petition (SLP) filed with the delay of 340 days.
The special leave petition arose out of impugned final judgment and order dated 29-08-2022 in WA No. 1081/2021 passed by the High Court of Judicature at Madras.
A Two-Judge Bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan observed that “There is a delay of 340 days in filing the special leave petition. Nevertheless, we have ASG. We are not inclined to interfere in the matter. The special leave petition is dismissed both on the ground of delay as well as on merits.”
