The Kerala High Court has invited applications for the temporary position of Research Assistant, and interested candidates who are practising as Advocates in the Kerala HC are urged to submit their applications before January 16, 2024.
The High Court Of Kerala has decided to commence the recruitment to the posts of Research Assistants on contract basis with an honorarium of Rs. Rs. 30,000 per month. The candidates shall be practising Advocates in the High Court of Kerala. The prospective candidates can apply before 4:30 pm on 16th January 2024.
However, due to certain technical issues, some delay is expected in the completion of the recruitment process. Hence, it has been decided to invite applications from qualified Indian Citizens who are practising Advocates in the High Court of Kerala for temporary appointment to the posts of Research Assistants, till-the completion of recruitment process to the posts of Research Assistant on contract basis by the Recruitment Cell, High Court.
Candidates shall apply to the above posts by submitting the duly filled proforma (attached in the notification) alongwith of relevant certificates by hand to the Recruitment Cell, High Court. No other means of application will be accepted.
The candidates shall not be entitled to any claim for regularisation in service, pension or any sort of benefit and any other right/privilege/preferential claim for appointment, or extension to any category or post in the High Court Service or any other service, by virtue of his/her appointment under this notification.
- Honorarium : 30.000/- month
- Number of Vacancies : 9 and other anticipated
- Qualification : Graduation in Law. Applicant should be an Indian Citizen who is presently practising in the High Court of Kerala. No weightage shall be provided for additional qualification. A candidate once appointed as Research Assistant in the High Court on contract basis, shall not be eligible to take up any other employment/assignment during the tenure.
- Mode: Depending on the number of applications received, a shortlist will be prepared based on the age, marks of the candidate in Law degree, years of experience as an Advocate in the High Court and on other relevant aspects. Only the shortlisted candidates will be considered for the next stage of the selection process.
- Age Limit : Candidates between 02.01.1996 and 01.01.2006 days inclusive are eligible to apply. But the name of a candidate who attains the age of 28 years shall be deleted from the list / panel as and when he or she attains that age.
How to Apply
- Eligible candidates are requested to download the proforma uploaded in the High Court Recruitment Portal (www.hckrecruitment.nic.in) . All the columns in the Proforma shall be filled up mandatorily. Duly filled up proforma along with copy of self-attested educational certificates (LLB certificate, and certificates) shall be submitted to the Recruitment Cell, (old High Court building) by Hand.
- Candidates are advised to have a valid Mobile Number, valid personal email ID. It should be kept active during the recruitment process. No request for change of Mobile Number-mail ID will be entertained. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she may create his/her new e-mail ID before applying.
- Candidates shall enter valid and relevant details only. Any request to change any details after submitting the application shall be rejected. Failure to fill up any detail will also result in rejection of application. A candidate shall submit only one application. An application once submitted will not be allowed to be withdrawn.
- Documents in original to prove age, qualification (LLB certificate, marklists and certificates) etc. should be produced as and when called for. The candidate shall also produce a Character and Conduct certificate when called for certificate verification. The format of Character and Conduct certificate is available in the “Downloads” section in Recruitment Portal Failure to produce the as detailed above for the certificate verification will result in invalidation of application.
- ‘Code of Conduct’ and ‘Duties and functions’ Of Research Assistants are available in the link “Downloads” in the Recruitment Portal (www.hckrecruitment.nic.in).
- Candidate should ensure that the particulars furnished by him/her are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material facts, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is detected even after appointment, his/her service is liable to be terminated. Applications which do not comply with the instructions in this notification as well as guidelines shall be rejected.
- The High Court shall intimate the eligible candidates through email or phone about the next stage of recruitment process.
