The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has granted the recognition to AMC Repo Clearing under Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations.
“The Securities and Exchange Board of India, having considered the application for grant of recognition under Regulation 4 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2018 by AMC Repo Clearing Limited, The Empire Business Centre, Empire Complex, 414, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400013 and being satisfied that it would be in the interest of the trade, in the interest of securities market and also in the public interest so to do, hereby grants, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 read with sub-section (4) of section 8A of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, recognition to the said clearing corporation for one year commencing on the 17th day of January, 2022 and ending on the 16th day of January, 2023 subject to the conditions,” SEBI notified.
The Clearing Corporation shall comply with conditions specified by SEBI from time to time.
