SEBI – Fifth Amendment Regulations – Listing Obligations – Disclosure Requirements-TAXSCAN
The Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), vide notification no. SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2023/155 issued on October 9, 2023 has notified the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) (Fifth Amendment) Regulations, 2023. They shall come into force with effect from October 1, 2023.
Exercising authority granted under Section 11, sub-section (2) of Section 11A, and Section 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, in conjunction with Section 31 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, the SEBI has enacted the following regulations to introduce amendments to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations of 2015.
In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, in regulation 30, in sub-regulation (11), in the first proviso,-
- the symbols, words and numerals ―(with effect from October 1, 2023)appearing after the words and numerals ―the top 100 listed entities shall be omitted;
- the symbols, words and numerals ―(with effect from April 1, 2024) appearing after the words and numerals ―the top 250 listed entities, shall be substituted with the symbol and words ―, with effect from the date as may be specified by the Board.
