Senior, Young Professional at DoCA: Deadline to Apply

The Department of Consumer Affairs in New Delhi is inviting applications for the engagement of three Senior Young Professionals (SrYP) and six Young Professionals (YP) for one year. The last date to apply for the posts is January 7, 2024.

The engagement is sought for a full-time basis in the office and providing technical, research, and analytical inputs in the field of Consumer Protection Unit (CPU), Costing, Parliament and Coordination (P and C), Establishment (Estt), NCH and E-Dakhil and Legal Metrology (LM) and various aspects associated with these subject and other work areas assigned from time to time.

Candidates who have an LLM with at least one year of experience or an LLB with at least three years of experience can apply for the post of Senior Young Professional. All the three vacancies are in CPU.

Two vacancies of Young Professionals are in the Costing field. The qualification is Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant along with graduation in Commerce. The candidate should have experience of one year in the relevant field.

There is one vacancy for a young professional in the P and C fields. The candidate should be a graduate in any field. Candidates who have worked in the parliament section for at least one year and have knowledge of parliamentary procedures will be preferred.

There is one vacancy for a young professional in the Estt field. The candidate should have completed graduation and should have good computer skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Desired experience of one year in human resource management is sought.

NCH and E-Dakhil field has one vacancy for a young professional. The candidate should be a graduate in law or tech with at least two years of experience in the relevant field. The applicant should have proficiency in computer applications.

One vacancy for a young professional is available in the LM field. The candidate should have an LLB degree. Candidates with good computer skills and communication skills will be preferred.

Applicants for Senior Young Professionals (SrYP )should not exceed 35 years of age and those of Young Professionals (YP)should not exceed 32 years of age. SrYP will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 70,000 and YP will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 40,000. The place of posting is in New Delhi. Only Indian citizens are eligible for the post.

The last date to apply was extended from December 31, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
