The Supreme Court dismissed the special leave petition (SLP) against the Income Tax Department and thereby resulted in a setback to Gowardhan Ayurfarma Pvt Ltd.
The special leave petition arose out of impugned final judgment and order dated 18-10-2023 in ITAL No. 28828/2022 passed by the High Court of Judicature at Bombay.
A Two-Judge Bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan observed that “Having heard learned Senior Counsel Ms. Meenakshi Arora, we are not inclined to interfere in the matter. The special leave petition is dismissed.”
