A two-judge bench of the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal on the ground of low tax effect as being covered by the Circular No. 17 of 2019 issued by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
The revenue department has challenged the order passed against Jagson International Ltd. Senior Counsel Mr Arijit Prasad appearing for the appellant(s) department submitted that these appeals could be disposed of having regard to the low tax effect vide Notification dated 08.08.2019 at Instruction No.17 of 2019.

In the circumstances, these appeals are dismissed owing to low tax effect keeping open any question of law which arises in these appeals. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
