The Tamil Nadu government has announced to present its revised budget for 2021-22 on August 13th 2021.

Governor Banwarilal Purohit has summoned the assembly on August 13, assembly secretary K Srinivasan said in an official release issued on Wednesday.The revised budget will be presented by the State Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan at 10a.m. in the multi-purpose hall of KalaivanarArangam.

Former deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam presented the interim budget for the year 2021-22 on February 23, ahead of the assembly elections.A four-day long session was held beginning June 21, with governor Banwarilal Purohit making a customary address to the newly elected members of the 16th assembly.

“In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, BANWARILAL PUROHIT, Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby summon the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly to meet at 10.00 A.M. on Friday, the 13th August, 2021 in the Multi—purpose Hall, 3rd Floor, KalaivanarArangam, Omandurar Government Estate, WallajahSalai, Chennai-600 002,” the official release said.
