Telangana GST Department Issues Guidelines on DSC Affixation in Taxpayer Communications.
The Telangana GST Department has recently released a circular dated March 12, 2024, highlighting the guidelines provided by GSTN regarding Digital Signature Certificate ( DSC ) affixation in communications sent by Tax Officers to taxpayers.
According to the circular, GSTN has communicated instructions for upgrading to the latest version of "GSTSigner." This upgrade is necessary to access new functionalities related to affixing Tax Officers' DSCs in communications sent to taxpayers. It's important to note that older versions of DSCs will no longer be functional starting March 21, 2024.
In light of this development, all Tax Officers are urged to promptly upgrade their GSTSigner software on their computer systems. This upgrade process can be completed with the assistance of technical staff or assistants by following these steps:
1. Visit the URL: https://boweb.internal.gst.gov.in
2. Navigate to Help >> System Requirements.
3. Under "Downloading and Installing the Web Socket Installer," click on the 'DSC Registration' hyperlink.
4. Download the latest version (v3.1) of the GSTSigner software that is compatible with your operating system.
5. Double-click the downloaded installation file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
It is mandated that this upgrade process be completed by March 20, 2024, to ensure seamless continuity in communications between Tax Officers and taxpayers.
