Amendment of Last Date for Submission of TRQ Applications for FTAs Notified under FTP, 2023 [Read Order]
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a public notice amending the last date of submissions for TRQ Applications for FY 2026-27.

The Government of India, through its Ministry of Commerce and Industry, by the Department of Commerce, represented by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, issued a Public Notice (Public Notice No.50/2025-26) dated 24.02.2026 amending the last date to submit Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) Application for Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) notified under Appendix 2A of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023 for FY 2026-27.

The Directorate General (DG) of Foreign Trade has extended the last date for submission under notified products from 28.02.2026 to 15.03.2026. The countries that need these TRQs are relevant to are Sri Lanka, Paraguay, Mauritius, Nepal and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The items permitted are to be compliant with the procedure mentioned in Annexure I, II III, IV and VI of Appendix 2-A of the FTP, 2023. These include pepper, crude soy oil, pineapples, lichi, articles of apparel and clothing accessories, copper products, etc.
The Department of Commerce notes that out of the total quota of 7.5 million pieces of articles of apparel and clothing accessories, at least 5 million pieces of aggregate of all such items should have been manufactured from yarn/fabric sourced from India.

Lav Agarwal, the DG - Foreign Trade, has opened online applications for allocation of Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) under the Free Trade Agreements with the above mentioned countries to be submitted on or before 15.03.2026.
