ICAI has announced that the examination shall be conducted in February 2026 in 17 centres across India.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened applications for the Computer-Based Examination for the Post-Qualification Diploma in Management and Business Finance (DMBF).
As per an announcement issued by the Examination Department of ICAI on 29 December 2025, the diploma course - which is open exclusively to eligible Chartered Accountant members shall have qualifying examinations conducted during the month of February 2026 across multiple centres in India.
Examination Structure and Dates
The Post-Qualification Diploma in Management and Business Finance examination will consist of three papers which can be undertaken by candidates on consecutive days as per the schedule below:
Paper I: 9 February 2026 (Monday)
Paper II: 10 February 2026 (Tuesday)
Paper III: 11 February 2026 (Wednesday)
The examination will be held in a computer-based mode where candidates shall be required to appear at their allotted computer centres.

- Bhopal

- Lucknow
- Mumbai
- Patna
- Pune
- Vijayawada

Timing
The examination for each paper will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on the respective days with an applicable duration of two hours to attempt each paper.

The examination will be conducted strictly in the English language.
ICAI has clarified that the examination will be held as per the notified schedule, including on public holidays.
Examination Fees
Fresh candidates will have to pay an examination fee of ₹6,000 to appear for all three papers.
Candidates who appeared for the DBMF examination in or before January 2024 and have already passed one or two papers shall be required to pay an examination fee of ₹2,000 per paper.
Candidates covered under the Transitional Provision Scheme are required to appear only for Paper I, and shall have to pay an examination fee of ₹2,000.
Registration
Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the official DMBF portal at: http://dmbf.icai.org/
Payment for examination fees can be remitted online using Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, or BHIM UPI.

The online application window will be open from 5 January 2026 to 9 January 2026.
The announcement has been issued by CA Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary (Examinations) of the ICAI.
All eligible chartered accountants who intend on obtaining the DMBF qualification are advised to complete their applications within the prescribed window.
