The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) will hold the July 2025 session of the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) on Saturday, July 5, 2025. The exam will be conducted remotely in a computer-based, proctored format. Company Secretary (CS) course aspiring Candidates may use their own desktop or laptop at home or in any quiet, private location, but tablets, smartphones and other handheld devices are not permitted.

Exam Mode and Equipment

  • The test will run through a secure browser called SEBLite, which must be downloaded, installed and kept on your device until after you submit the exam.
  • A stable wired or broadband internet connection is required—avoid mobile hotspots or any unstable network.
  • Your computer (desktop or laptop) should be fully charged or connected to an uninterrupted power source.
  • An external webcam is allowed only if your device lacks an internal camera.
  • You must have your CSEET admit card and a government-issued photo ID (such as passport, driver’s licence, Aadhaar, PAN or voter ID) ready for verification by the remote proctor. No other documents are allowed.
  • Log in to the exam portal at least 30 minutes before the start time. You cannot begin the test more than 15 minutes after it starts, nor can you submit it before 90 minutes have elapsed.
  • Complete a mock test in advance to familiarise yourself with the interface and rules.
  • If SEBLite fails to install or run, you will not be able to start the exam, and support requests on installation issues will not be accepted.
  • You may not leave your seat or take any breaks during the 90-minute test.
  • No additional persons may be present in the room once the exam begins.
  • All audio and video feeds on your computer must remain on and clearly show your face and upper body at all times.
  • Keep your background plain, well-lit from the front, and free of noise or distractions.
  • Only the computer, keyboard, mouse and webcam (if needed) should be on your desk—no books, papers or other items.
  • Allowed: Desktop or laptop, external webcam (if needed), keyboard, mouse
  • Not Allowed: Mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, earphones/headphones, notes, calculators, pagers, digital diaries, backpacks or any other gadgets or reference materials
  • The exam consists of four papers. You must score at least 40 percent in each paper and 50 percent overall to pass.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
