The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the postponement of the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final and Intermediate examinations scheduled for 3rd and 4th September 2025 in select centres.
According to an official announcement from ICAI’s Examination Department, the decision was taken due to continuous rainfall and the resulting flood situation in certain regions. The affected centres are located in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala and Jammu City.
The announcement clarified that this change applies only to these specific cities in Punjab and Jammu City. For all other examination centres across the country, the CA Final and Intermediate exams will be held as per the earlier announced schedule of 3rd and 4th September.

The Institute further stated that the revised dates for the postponed exams will be notified separately in due course. Students appearing for exams in the affected centres have been advised to regularly check the official ICAI website (www.icai.org) for the latest updates and detailed information.
The decision comes in the wake of reports of incessant heavy rains and widespread flooding in parts of Punjab and Jammu, which have disrupted normal life and transportation services in several districts. Authorities are prioritising the safety of students and exam personnel in view of the adverse weather conditions.
