The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) shared the results for the May 2025 CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation exams. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) shared the results for the May 2025 CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation exams. This May 2025 CA exam has shown some of the lowest pass rates seen in recent years, particularly in the Foundation level.

As per ICAI data, the CA Foundation exam recorded a pass rate of 15.09%, with 12,474 candidates passing out of 82,662 who took the exam. The success rate among male candidates was 16.26% and it was 13.80% for female candidates.

Vrinda Agarwal from Ghaziabad topped the Foundation exam with 90.5%, scoring 362 out of 400 marks. She was followed closely by Yadnesh Rajesh Narkar from Mumbai, who secured 89.75%, and Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Thane who achieved 89.5%.

The CA Intermediate exam also saw low pass rates this session, with 13.22% passing among those who attempted both groups. For Group I, the pass rate stood at 14.67% and Group II saw a slightly higher rate of 21.51%. A total of 1,69,172 students appeared for the Intermediate exams across 564 centres.

In the CA Final exam, 18.75% of candidates cleared both groups, continuing the trend of challenging results. Group I recorded a 22.38% pass rate and Group II stood at 26.43%. This attempt had 99,466 candidates registered across 564 centres.

Rajan Kabra from Mumbai achieved the All India First Rank in the CA Final with a score of 516 out of 600 (86%). Nishtha Bothra from Kolkata followed with 83.83% and Manav Rakesh Shah from Mumbai scored 82.17%.

After declaring the results, ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda congratulated the students who passed and encouraged them to uphold ethics and integrity in their professional journeys.
