The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued the revised schedule for Paper-1 of the CA Final (Group I) and CA Intermediate (Group I) examinations in specified centres in Punjab and Jammu City.
The rescheduling follows the postponement announced in early September after incessant rainfall and flood-like conditions disrupted the conduct of examinations in several centres.
The latest revision dated 12 September, 2025 is published as Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/SEPTEMBER/2025/VI and is issued in continuation of the Institute’s earlier notice dated 2 September 2025.
The initial deferral affected examinations scheduled for 3 and 4 September 2025 which were to be held in Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Pathankot, Patiala and Sangrur in the State of Punjab and Jammu City. The exams will now be conducted at the same places as per the revised dates below:
The Final Paper-1 (Financial Reporting), originally notified for 3 September 2025 shall now be held on 24 September 2025.
The Intermediate Paper-1 (Advanced Accounting), originally notified for 4 September 2025 shall now be held on 25 September 2025.
The ICAI has maintained that the dates have been revised after assessing on-ground conditions and with the objective of minimising disruption in examination while ensuring candidate safety and integrity.
Guidelines for Candidates
The Institute has confirmed that the rescheduled examinations will be held at the same centres and at the same timing as notified originally, i.e., from 2 PM to 5 PM IST.
Candidates who have already received admit cards need not obtain new documents; existing admit cards shall remain valid for the rescheduled dates.
Candidates are to note that the rescheduled timetable would not change even if any of the rescheduled days are subsequently declared public holidays by the Central or any State Government or local authority.
Candidates have been asked to monitor the ICAI portal for continued updates.
The announcement is signed by CA Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary (Examinations).
